Advanced Laparoscopic Suturing and Skills Course The surgeon who has performed laparoscopic cholecystectomies and is interested in exploring advanced laparoscopic procedures and suturing techniques.

Basic and Advanced Course on Laparoscopic Suturing and Surgical Skills The surgeon has a strong interest in laparoscopy, may have some experience in laparoscopic procedures and wishes to acquire proficient skills and/or mastery of laparoscopic suturing, anastomosis, and intracorporeal knotting skills.
  • Topics covered in the basic and advanced courses
  • Optional: Topics in microendoscopic reconstruction (i.e. pediatric or fetoscopic repairs, etc.)
40 hours

(5 days)

Practicing Physicians: $2,500

Residents and Fellows: $1,800

*Optional procedures:

Although each course covers a particular set of topics, the student may request to learn certain procedures of interest (provided that time and the student’s skill level allow for such modification of the curriculum).

Advanced Laparoscopic Suturing and Skills Course The gynecologist who has experience in laparoscopic procedures and suturing techniques, or may have experience with microscopic tubal anastomosis via laparotomy or minilaparotomy, and wishes to refine his or her technique.

  • Preparation for reconstructive procedures, e.g.,
    • Radical Bladder Cystectomy
    • Radical Prostatectomy
